An Irvine Terrace home that includes a hill filled with solar panels above Bayside Drive will come under the scrutiny of the Newport Beach city attorney’s office following a request by City Councilman Ed Selich.
“I’ve been getting a lot of complaints,” Selich said at the meeting. The complaints came mostly from residents on Balboa Island and along Bayside Drive, who say the solar panels create a glare and are ugly.
Selich asked the city attorney’s office to prepare a report that the Council could consider during a future Study Session. The report should analyze the project and how it fits in the zoning code with its size and setbacks, Selich said.Click HERE to read the entire story.
